How To Install Rear Airbag Suspension Commodore

So some time ago we installed Drop in air bags in my mates VZ Calais nosotros take both never done it earlier then thought how hard could it be? and gave information technology a crack.

Started off by running the power cablevision to the boot, didn't like the look of the power wire that came with the kit so fabricated my own. hahah

Drilled a hole in the burn down wall simply under the bonnet release cable to run it into the motorcar and then run it under the drivers scuff plate with the body loom to the kick so information technology was hidden.

Side by side nosotros mounted the compressor, found plenty of room to a higher place the diff for the bolts to go through the flooring and that's where Blake wanted information technology and then went with that and had no issues.

The compressor kit runs a remote air inlet with filter so found a hole already in the parcel self so used that and also mounted the relay on the boot strut mount.

And so it was onto working out where to mount the gauges and controls and running the air lines to them. Nosotros decided that in the heart panel was the best place for them so thats where they were mounted and we ran the lines from the boot into inside following the torso loom and so under the carpet to the back of the centre console over again to proceed it all neat and hidden .

The judge is too Back lit so I piggy backed off the centre console light so that information technology will come up on when y'all elevator the hat with the other i.

Gauge and switches all mounted up nice and neat.

And so the but thing to practise now was to mount the numberless and runs the lines to them. We decided to drill the holes on either side of the compressor crusade one time once more we knew we had plenty of room.

And so I just tided up a couple things.

Done

All done! It wasn't all that hard just time consuming trying to be swell and tidy probably most 8 or 9 hours information technology took us, but that was with some stuffing effectually and talking shit aswell hahaha

It air'south out pretty quick and pumps up pretty quick aswell and isn't all that noisey

At present just have to exercise something well-nigh them stock forepart springs hahaha

And v months on and they are still going potent and oasis't had i unmarried problem at all (That includes with the police ;) )
